How to restore your normal fatty acid balance

If the 'Fatty Acid Profile Value' is less than 90 % (yellow or red value) you may benefit from changing your diet. If you have problems in changing your diet as suggested in the longer term dietary advice (How to change your diet - guide), you may choose to follow this fast track dietary advice guide.

A body weight balanced quantity of BioActive Foods Oil or BioActive Foods Powder will rapidly improve your fatty acids profile, and provide a fast track balanced and anti-inflammatory diet. Use a 25 % excess daily dosage for the first 120 days (0.19 ml oil/kg body weight or 0.45 g powder/kg body weight), followed by the recommended daily dosage (0.15 ml oil/kg body weight or 0.35 g powder/kg body weight) after 120 days. Due to the storage of omega-3 in the cell membranes you may lower the daily dosage by 25 % after 120 days.  Perceptible changes will first take place in cells of the immune system that have a “lifetime” of 2 - 9 days before they are renewed, then in skin cells that have a “lifetime” of 14 - 20 days, and eventually in red blood cells that have a “lifetime” of 120 days. Our experiences show that stability in Omega-3 level in blood is achieved after 14 - 16 weeks.

Recommended daily dosages of BioActive Foods Oil or BioActive Foods Powder will correct and maintain your Omega-6/Omega-3 fatty acid balance for life. A good balance will improve general health and contribute to normalize heart-, brain-, eye- and immune function. Polyphenols from olive in BioActive Foods Oil and BioActive Foods Powder protect the blood lipids from oxidative stress in the same way as 5 - 9 portions of fruit and vegetables per day. It is the joint effects of marine omega-3 EPA and DHA and polyphenols from olive that make these products unique.

BioActive Foods Oil should be taken directly from the bottle or in capsules. BioActive Foods Powder contain  BioActive Foods Oil and may be mixed with water or milk to a flavored drink before consumption. The flavored drink may be mixed with other food items like yoghurt or smoothie, or to cereals.
